Cat Haven Inc. is a non-profit organization located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It was established in 1999 to rescue and place cats and kittens in loving homes. In just a few years, we have rescued and found homes for almost 5,000 cats. We make it possible for area residents to find the perfect cat or kitten by hosting adoption events every Saturday in the Baton Rouge area. All cats adopted through Cat Haven have been spayed or neutered, tested for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus, and have received age-appropriate vaccinations.

Cat Haven has an active program to assist low income families with spay and neuter. Simply fill out the on-line application found under our Spay/Neuter tab to see if you qualify to receive assistance.

Cat Haven depends on volunteers, members and donors to continue its work. We hold fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for our program and operating expenses. Our annual "Cat Tales & Cocktails Gala", held here in Baton Rouge, focuses on our building requirements.

Cat Haven also relies on local veterinarians that participate in our program. They provide quality health care at reduced rates so that we are able to give our cats and kittens the healthy start they need before going to their new homes.

Cat Haven is a Louisiana nonprofit organization with a member Board of Directors that is responsible for all aspects of Cat Haven's operations and is accountable to our membership.
